The Giant Destroyer

Before deciding on your gopher control plan, it is best to understand gophers and their behaviour.

Male Richardson's ground squirrels can emerge as early as mid-February, with females following soon after.

After months of hibernation, gophers emerge in search of food, making baiting most effective before vegetation greens up and new plant growth becomes their primary food source.

Having a control plan in place before activity begins is key to effective management.

The Saskatchewan Government website provides helpful information on controlling Richardson's ground squirrels and outlines the available bait options.
